Privacy notice

Prasanna Photography (the photographer) decides how the event photos are used and is responsible for your data. Photomitra runs this service for them and uses your data only on their behalf.

• Your selfie. Used once to find your photos, then deleted right away. It is never stored.
• Your name, so Prasanna Photography can see who found their photos and we can greet you.
• Optional contact details (phone/WhatsApp, email, what you're interested in), only if you tick “Prasanna Photography may contact me”. Never needed to get your photos.
• Optional feedback (a rating, the reasons you tick and a comment), only if you give it, with your name unless you choose “Send without my name”. If you also tick the testimonial box, Prasanna Photography may show your first name and comment on their website or social media.
• A face code. Numbers that describe your face, made from the selfie. It can't be turned back into a picture. We keep it so new photos of you can appear during the event.
• Event photos taken by the photographer, some of which may show you.
• A cookie on this device that remembers your session, so you don't need a new selfie every visit.
• Basic technical data (IP address, browser type) to keep the service secure and prevent misuse.

To find and show you your photos from this event, to keep the service secure, and (only if you agreed) so Prasanna Photography can contact you about photography. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your face code for any other event or purpose.

• Selfie: deleted immediately after matching.
• Name, face code, session and event photos: deleted automatically when the event's photos are removed, within 30 days after the event, or sooner if you delete them. If the couple is still choosing their album, Prasanna Photography can keep the event photos (only the photos) up to 90 days longer; your face code and name are still deleted on the normal date.
• Contact details you chose to share: 12 months after you agreed, or sooner if you delete them (from “Your privacy” on your photos page, or by email below, also after the event).
• Feedback: your name and comment are removed with the event's photos (or after 12 months); the rating and ticked reasons stay without your name, for Prasanna Photography's totals. A testimonial you agreed to and Prasanna Photography uses stays until you withdraw it. Change or delete your feedback from your photos page; after the event, ask Prasanna Photography to remove a testimonial.

Your name, face code and session are kept on our servers in India (Amazon Web Services, Mumbai). Event photos are kept in cloud storage run by Cloudflare (R2), which may hold them in data centres outside India. Both only store the data for us under contract and may not use it for anything else. Data is encrypted on the way (HTTPS).

• Withdraw consent anytime: on your photos page (or at the top of this page, on the phone you used), open Your privacy and tap Delete my data now. Your face code, name and any contact details are deleted at once, and your feedback loses your name, comment and testimonial. If someone else uses your phone for their own selfie, your contact details stay with you: delete them by email below.
• You can ask to see, correct or erase your data, or raise a complaint, by writing to us (below).
• Children under 18 need a parent or guardian's agreement to use this service.
• If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
